EXCLUSIVE Lamar Odom Interview

Lamar Odom of the Los Angeles Lakers gives Jonathan Khamis of OCRegister.com an exclusive interview regarding the status of his free agency. This is the first time Lamar Odom has spoken to the media since the free agency period began. He was at the Nokia Club in L.A. Live viewing the premiere of the L.A. Lakers Championship DVD.

Great job on the interview Jonathan! Let's hope that Lamar does resign with the Lakers and we win several more championships. He gives the Lakers great versatility and he can play every position for point to center, so it would be great to have him back. Also, a shout out to Fisher in that clip. Great Job, I liked what I saw!

Yeah, there are conflicting reports regarding his free agency status, but if he returns, the Lakers should be favorites to repeat. Derek Fisher was there, but unavailable for an interview,as he was viewing the championship DVD with his wife. I did speak to Luke Walton though, and he said while the Lakers could repeat without Lamar, it wouldn't be easy.

Ahhh Lamar Odom called my brother "baby." Your street cred is increasing by the day, even D Fish wanted in on some Jakked Up screen time! I liked what I heard, all signs point to a signing soon, so I'm just gonna go ahead and call a repeat right here right now. Great job, and keep the surprises coming.

I am very proud to say " my nephew Jonathan was the first to ask Lamar Odom about his free agency status". I like the way Lamar greeted you and was at ease with the questions you asked. I do think the candy man will sign with the Lakers after hearing what he said, but it remains to be seen if greed will overtake his loyalty to the Lakers and sign with another team.

I'd say it is probably 50/50 that Odom stays in LA. He won his ring and he wants to get paid since this is probably his last big contract.

Let me also say Lamar knows he has the lakers by the balls. The Spurs, Magic (as long as they sign Barnes and Ratliff), Cavs, Nuggets and Celtics all got better. With Millsap staying in Utah, the Trailblazers have a lot of money now and years to offer Lamar. If they're smart, they destroy the Lakers by taking Lamar.

Great hands on video! I have no reason to think Lamar Odom wont come back to the Lakers. Theres to much going positive in this situation. You can honestly put the signing of Lamar Odom to the Lakers in the bag. Yes, im that confident that the oh so captivating Lamar Odom will be back!!!! To dominate the NBA for a couple for years

As always Jonathan a great job. Now, on to Lamar. Losing Odom would definitely hurt the Lakers in a major way. He, Bynum, and Gasol are all around the height of 7 feet. This height advantage is what gives them a sharp edge over the competition. Losing him weakens the interior enough that the Lakers will lose the ability to EASILY dominate. With that said I believe the Lakers should resign him for the obvious reasons. No Odom, or another major role player signing = no championship. I can see it now, Bron Bron and The Shaqalier raising the trophy proudly above their heads.
