Spurs hand Lakers historic playoff loss



The San Antonio Spurs routed the Lakers 120-89, handing Los Angeles their worst home playoff loss in team history. Pau Gasol finished with a triple double but Tim Duncan scored a game-high 26 points.

Lillicrop leads Cypress past Yorba Linda

Clippers beat Grizzlies at own game



The team known as "Lob City" only had one dunk in a complete 112-91 victory over Memphis in Game 1 of the 1st round of the NBA Playoffs. The Clippers outrebounded the Grizzlies 47-23.

Lakers finally clinch playoff spot with OT win over Rockets



It took 82 games to do it, but the Lakers finally clinched a playoff spot with a 99-95 victory over the Houston Rockets. Pau Gasol had a triple double while Dwight Howard had a double double.

Mater Dei shuts down Edison in Woodbridge Classic final



Andie Formby struck out eight batters on way to a complete game shut out mercy rule victory over Edison 8-0 in six innings. Morganne Flores was the tournament MVP with 13 RBI total.

Lakers react to Kobe injury



The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Golden State Warriors 118-116, but all eyes were on Kobe Bryant, who suffered a possible torn achilees late in the 4th quarter.

El Toro beat Capistrano Valley 4-1 on the arm of Ryan Kayoda who pitched a complete game while piling up 7 K's. Also Gavin Collins had a HR and 2 RBI.

Resurgent Pacifica wins Michelle Carew Classic



Pacifica shut out Yorba Linda 4-0 on way to winning the 26th Michelle Carew Classic. Kaylee Carlson pitched a complete game only giving up three hits.
