From Hospital Bed to Football Field: Luke Gane's Inspirational Journey

Luke Gane was diagnosed with aplastic anemia before the 2008 season. He underwent chemotherapy and needed a bone marrow transplant if he wanted to live. Sure enough, one of his twin brothers was the correct match. Luke is alive today because of his younger brother Jacob. He's now healthy and back on the field playing for Huntington Beach Edison High School.
