Esperanza powers past undefeated Henry Owens
Owens pitched a good game, going the distance with 11 strikeouts, but he struggled with his control. He uncharacteristically walked four batters while hitting five batters.
He could have given up more runs, if Esperanza didn't botch a suicide squeeze in the 5th inning.
Esperanza is now on top of the Sunset League as they have taken the season series from Edison (2-0).
Interviews with Esperanza's winning pitcher Austin Pettibone, and head coaches.

UCLA's pistol offense shooting blanks
Kevin Prince struggled in UCLA's final spring scrimmage throwing only five completions with an interception. The running game took awhile to get going as well, but Derrick Coleman finished strong with 64 yards and a touchdown.
The plight with the pistol offense can be attributed to the defense. The Bruins' Alex Mascarenas and Marlon Pollard each had bone-crushing hits that left the fans satisfied, but not head coach Rick Neuheisel.
He still believes that there is enough time to tweak the offense in time for the fall, but there is still plenty of work to be done.

Crespi survives freak accident and late OLu rally
Crespi defeated Orange Lutheran 7-6 in the semifinals of the National Classic.
A scary moment in the 5th inning...Crespi's Ryon Healy (Oregon signee) attempted to field a ground ball at first, but took a bad hop to his lip. The game was delayed for several minutes, until the bleeding stopped.
The Celts scored four runs in the top of the 7th, but the Lancers rallied in the 4th. The tying runner was left stranded on second base as Blake Hugaert lined out to end the game.
Interviews with Healy & Orange Lutheran head coach Eric Borba
