Los Alamitos controls Mater Dei in CIF final
Los Alamitos defeated Mater Dei 3-1 (25-23, 23-25, 25-15, 25-23) to win the CIF Div. 1AA championship.
The Griffins were led by Crissy Jones with 19 kills and 19 digs, and Annie Hale with 18 kills and 13 digs.

Mater Dei stifles Mission Viejo in quarterfinals
Mater Dei took a team that averaged 48 points per game, and held them to only three first downs in the first half. The Monarchs defeated Mission Viejo 21-14 in the Pac-5 quarterfinals.

Fans storm field after USC stuns Stanford
USC kicker Andre Heidari kicked the game-winning field goal as the Trojans went on to stun No. 5 Stanford at the L.A. Coliseum. The fans stormed the field after the game.

The Chargers defeated the Barons 24-0 and for the 9th consecutive season in the Battle for the Bell game. Marcus Swanigan had 110 yards rushing and a touchdown.
Valencia routs Cypress
The Tigers dominated the Centurions 41-3 in a game that had much to do about the Empire League playoff standings. Valencia QB Pat Godoy rushed for 3 TD.
