Tustin and Canyon nearly brawl after game

Tustin and Canyon nearly came to blows Friday night.

In their third meeting this season, the Tillers finally defeated the Comanches 54-48, but the game almost had an ugly conclusion.

Both benches exchanged words as players and coaches had to be separated. Canyon head coach Nate Harrison believed that the Tustin time keeper mishandled the game clock to favor Tustin. He let his frustration be heard after the game, as words were exchanged on both sides.

It's unclear who or which side started the argument, but thankfully intermediaries stepped in and separated both teams.

Overshadowed in all of this was the great play of Matt Glover who scored 29 points (including five 3-point shots), grabbed ten rebounds, and dished five assists.

Tustin's defense was outstanding, limiting Canyon to only seven points in the third quarter, and holding star player Chris Anderson to only nine points, after torching Tustin for 39 points in their previous two meetings.
